BALLET & TAP

MUSICAL THEATRE

Street is an umbrella name for many new current dance styles, including hip hop, commercial house and many more. It is a forever adapting and expanding style that is a favourite within the media industry. It features heavily in music videos and mainstream TV such as Britain's Got Talent & Got To Dance. As a student in street you will have the chance to learn all of these different styles from your in house teacher, as well as one off lessons from industry professional guest teachers, participate in nationwide exams, competitions & shows.

CONTEMPORARY

ontemporary is a dance style that focusses on versatility, diversity and improvisation, rather than following a strict syllabus or technique. It can, and is often, fused with other dance genres, meaning it is a perfect bridge style for any performer. Contemporary dance is all about expression, passion and message through movement. It is a modern and increasingly popular genre. As a student in contemporary you will have the opportunity to expand both your choreographic and dance skills, as you will create as well as learn routines.

Ballet & Tap encompass the core skills needed for any dancer. Ballet is a classical style full of expressive moment and is the base discipline for all genres of dance. As a pupil in ballet you will be able to improve technique & aid your skills in other dance styles. Tap also encompasses all of the necessities for any dancer including rhythm, musical expression & discipline.  As a pupil in tap you will gain an impressive dance skill, that will carry you through all of your training. Participating in the Ballet & Tap classes will give you an opportunity to gain qualifications through exams and participate in festivals and shows.

FREESTYLE

Disco Freestyle is an energetic, fun discipline that focusses on your technique in jumps, spins, leaps and much more. It can be fused with other styles such as street & contemporary which makes it so diverse. It has taken the UK by storm and has quickly become one of the most popular styles to date. As a student in freestyle you will gain a strong dance technique, as well as stamina and a knowledge in a diverse and popular dance style. You will be able to participate in exams, competitions and shows.

Musical theatre is commonly the most all round experience for any budding performer. Fusing singing, dance & acting through set pieces of musical theatre production, a pupil in musical theatre will become acquainted with West End shows & Broadway performances. We will learn an array of set pieces from your favourite and best loved musicals, and showcase the performances in our popular variety shows.
